About the cleanhand
the cleanhand is a unique, flexible, strong, and durable, American made personal protective device (PPE), invented by a family’s obsession with fighting off germs and minimizing the risk of hand and finger contact. It is recommended for anyone around the world over the age of 5. the cleanhand minimizes the risk of transmitting and receiving germs, viruses, and diseases by reducing hand and finger contact on a daily basis while simultaneously reducing the need for protective personal gear such as gloves.
What is ABS?
ABS is the name given to a family of thermoplastics. It is called engineering plastic, because it is a plastic of which the production and processing is more complex than ordinary plastic.
ABS is formed by three polymers:
- Acrylonitrile, high chemical resistance with regard to the environment and aging.
- Butadiene, high impact resistance and good mechanical properties.
- Styrene, high quality appearance and bright finish.
This mix of properties - called synergy – indicates the final product contains better properties than just the sum of each property in particular.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Soap and water should be used during ABS cleaning. The use of other chemicals such as chlorides, ketones, and degreasers accelerate aging of the devices and give the device a yellowish color. The cleaning should be done with a soft cloth or sponge in order to prevent scratches and brightness degradation.
